We come to the end of another fantastic school year. It has been a very exciting year. As I look back it’s hard to believe that this time last year we were packing up the old school to move to the new site. We have settled well into the new site and we have made it our home. It was lovely to see so many parents at sports day and our washed out ‘Family Picnic’. It is great to know that so many parents are keen to be engaged with your child’s school. Can I thank you all for your ongoing support. The staff have worked extremely hard to provide a great experience for your children. All the team go above and beyond to provide opportunities for the children. They all deserve a good break and I would like to thank them all for their hard work. We also have to say a very fond farewell to Mrs Bowen who is retiring. Mrs Bowen has been at the school for the last 5 years and has been an integral part of the school’s journey in that time. She has been an immense support to me, as Headteacher, and I cannot thank her enough for the support and guidance she has given me. We say fare well to Year 6! They have been a brilliant year group. ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ was amazing and was a perfect example of their commitment and hard work whilst they have been at Barton. A lovely class of whom we will all be sad to say goodbye to. I wish them every success at their secondary schools! I’d also like to say thank you to the rest of the children. They are a fabulous group of pupils who we are all incredibly proud of. Every day they make us smile and inspire us all to give them every opportunity we can. Their childhood is a very precious moment and we are privileged to play such a key role in it. Next Year will bring us further adventures: new pupils, new staff, further building work and so much more.
I would like to wish you all a lovely summer break and look forward to seeing you all in September.
