Firstly can I say a huge thank you to all the pupils for making this year such a brilliant year! It has been fun filled and action packed and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I am immensely proud of our school and our pupils. The pupils are a real credit to all of you and Barton continues to be held up as a good school on the island.
I would like to wish a fond farewell to our current Year 6 class. They have been a fabulous bunch. They have really flourished this year with guidance form Miss Wade and her team. I had the privilege of attending their residential to Osmington and it was a great trip where all the pupils were amazing. I would like to wish them all the very best of luck at Secondary school and we look forward to hearing about their successes in due course.
Additionally I would like to thank all the staff at Barton for helping to make our school such a vibrant place for our children to learn. The staff always go the extra mile and create fabulous opportunities for all of our pupils to take part in. The staff at Barton are brilliant and I am so glad to have them.
Sadly we need to say good bye to two teachers. Miss Wade and Miss Gibbes. Both teachers have been fantastic staff. Both of whom have brought so much to our school. We will sorely miss them and I wish them every success in the future. Miss Gibbes is moving back up north to work and Miss Wade is off to work in the Bahamas! I hope one day they will return to us!
Lastly, can I thank you as parents for your continued support. The school is very fortunate to have such committed and supportive families. Can I wish you all a lovely summer and I look forward to seeing you all in September.
