Dear Parent and Carers,
I am writing to inform of the news that phase 2 of the modernisation of the school buildings will start at half term. We are, of course, very excited about the school getting this significant work done. It is envisaged that this will take the rest of the year to complete.
The work will be done in phases, so sections of the school and some classes will be moved whilst work is being carried out (see attached plan). Each phase should take around 6 weeks to complete. During each phase there will be some disruption and temporary changes to access to the school. We would therefore ask for your patience during this time, as for a period the school office will need to be relocated. If you need to contact the office, please do so via a phone call or email during this period and we shall deal with requests as promptly as possible.
There has already been some preparation work, and over the next couple of weeks and over half term the contractors will move on site. The school car park will not be in use for anyone. For an extended period, access to school will be via the MUGA. We have installed new secure fencing as we shall need to use the MUGA as our play space during much of the works.
When we return after half term, staff will be on hand to support you all with the temporary measures. These will need to adapt throughout the works. Again, I ask for your patience. We shall keep you updated as much as we can.
