Exciting news for home reading!

To support your child with reading at home, we have subscribed to the Oxford Owl eBook Library giving access to more than 500 ebooks for use across the age range from Reception to Year 6.

Over the next week or so, your child’s teacher will be in touch with details of how to log in to the library and what your child will be expected to do to ensure that they continue to develop their reading skills whilst learning at home.

Please see the leaflet for more information. If you have any further questions, please contact the class teacher in the usual way.

What have Compton class been doing so far?

Island Riding Centre – Some of our Year 6 had fun at The Island Riding Centre where they learnt some facts about horses, mucked out stables and had a pony ride under the excellent supervision of Emily and some HTP students. Thank you to Louise and Paul for providing this fantastic experience for the children at Barton

Here are some of the final Artwork pieces that Compton Class have created. They have built up their composition over the half term, exploring a range of art materials and linking their work to Johanna Uribes and the topic Day of the Dead.

Inspired by the Mexico theme that Aston has been doing in his school work, he wanted to have a Mexican themed meal.

Compton Class made their own snowman decoration using socks, rice and buttons for detail.
